More Field Trip Pictures

Here are some more pictures from around this area. Again, the weather was actually relatively good, although the haze is accurately shown...

If I didn't know better, this could be someplace in the Western US.

But thanks to this picture, you can see why I know better. Although this looks like some little country road, it isn't. It's actually a main road outside of the city. What's truly remarkable about it is that there's only one guy on the bicycle.

This is the first mosque I've seen here, interestingly. And yes, that's a gas station next to it.

This is also a main road, believe it or not. One of these years they'll get around to paving it. It's actually not so bad when they wet it down...

But this is what happens when they don't. This was actually before the dust got so bad that we had to just stop for a minute so we could see where the road was.
